COLD WALL SYNDROME
This image illustrates the "cold wall syndrome". While the room temperature is 62 degrees the exterior wall is 48 degrees. Sitting close to this wall you would feel chilled because your body heat is drawn away toward the wall. Located in a finished basement, adding extruded polystyrene or polyurethane rigid insulation behind the paneling could improve the situation. |
