What Is A Home Inspection
Whether it is for pre-sale, purchase, owner information or
warranty, I will be thorough in my performance. That includes an examination of the structure,
electrical, heating, and plumbing
fixtures from the roof to the basement by an objective trained inspector,
WORKING DIRECTLY FOR YOU.
After my objective evaluation, you will receive a
20 to 30 page computer
generated narrative report including pictures detailing my findings. Included in the
report binder is the 97 page "Now that you've had a HOME inspection"

BULLET POINTS
- I am not affiliated with APS Home Inspection
Service located in Ohio or any other "APS" . I am the first
and only Home Inspection business marketing the name "APS Home
Inspection" in Illinois (a.k.a. A Prompt Services Home
Inspection. I have been using "A Prompt Services" as a business name
for over 25 years).
- I am the owner/inspector. I don't sub-contract
your home inspection. When you contract with me I
do your inspection! (Radon inspections
are performed by other specially trained and qualified individuals
arranged by me.)
- Reports and
photographs available for download from a secure website (user
name/password). I don't use report download services that harvest your
email address and sell it to other businesses. I contact you, you
download them; and I don't share addresses.
- Visible mold and musty odors can be discussed
during my inspection. Samples can be taken and diagnosed by a lab for
an additional fee. Read

- If I do more than one inspection for you, on
different properties, each additional full inspection will be priced at a
discounted amount.
- If you are having your home remodeled by yourself
or a contractor it is not a bad idea to have a home inspector be
involved in the early planning stages to answer questions about safety
and requirements-before you have started and making changes can be
much more expensive.
WHEN ARE YOU AVAILABLE?
I am scheduled 7 days a week to meet your needs and as long as there is enough
daylight. I want you to be there throughout the entire inspection. I want you to
know your home thoroughly, from roof to basement. Please call to schedule your

WILL YOU NEED TO SIGN AN
AGREEMENT
YES! For your protection and mine, you will be asked to sign an agreement
before the inspection begins. This agreement spells out what I will do for you. You
